All week I have been stoked that my old travel partner, Jeff Vonk, has gotten a book published about his life and our travel stories. Today he sent me the cover photo. It’s slightly recognizable. I took that shot of him at the base of Everest, in the midst of an epic 5000 kilometer motorcycle journey across China, Tibet, and Nepal.
You may think it’s similar to my profile pic on this blog—that was the version he took of me.
PUPPY!!
You know a bit of where I’ve traveled by now. Guesses as to where I took this one?
Answer tomorrow on twitter.
Now that’s what I call, “riding green”.
—-She’s not even back from Vietnam yet, and already I get to steal her photographic cred. Told ya it would happen. But it reiterates the simple formula for good photos: Adventure.
(it always breeds subject matter barely anyone else can find)
Instant connections mean all the more when you are wandering in a strange land.
Find out where to wander: tomorrow @wheresnagy.
This is my beautiful and witty gf.
She’s off to Vietnam tomorrow.
Have a great trip, hun. Bring back some really kick ass photos so I can upload them and rip on your cred.
(Location of this gorgeous back alley landscape, tomorrow on the twit., if you really want)
I captured the sky in a bowl then flipped it upside down. For serious. Believe me, guys. I’m not trying to make a crappy April Fool’s joke. I really did it. Jeez.
By the way, anybody recognize this sky? I forget where I saw it.
Tomorrow on twitter: @wheresnagy —- Where (& when) you would have to go with your trusty time-machine-slash-instamatic-camera-combo to take this same photo.
I won’t be uploading things this weekend (because I am going to be skiing some sick-ass powder!!!!!!), so I wanted to give you something special to put in your ear holes and mull over.
Introducing, Matias M.C.
